FAQ

Common questions

Do you charge any upfront fees?

No. You pay nothing to check your eligibility, talk with us, or have us match you with a lender. Help With SBA Loans may be paid by the lender when your loan closes.

Are you a lender?

No. Help With SBA Loans is not a lender. We work with 25+ SBA-approved lenders and match your request to the one best suited to your deal. The lender makes all credit decisions and sets the final terms.

Will checking my eligibility affect my credit?

No. Our eligibility form does not pull your credit. A lender will review credit later, with your permission, if you move forward.

How long does an SBA loan take?

Streamlined loans typically close in 30 to 45 days. Larger transactions, such as real estate and business acquisitions, typically take 45 to 90 days.

Who qualifies for an SBA loan?

SBA loans are generally for established, for-profit U.S. businesses with cash flow that supports the loan payment and owners with solid personal credit. Every lender has its own requirements, which is why matching you with the right one matters.

What documents will I need?

Lenders typically ask for business and personal tax returns, recent financial statements, a debt schedule, and a personal financial statement. We'll tell you exactly what your lender needs once we know your deal.

Are you affiliated with the SBA?

No. Help With SBA Loans is an independent company and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Small Business Administration. SBA loans are made by SBA-approved lenders and partially guaranteed by the SBA.
